THIS PART NUMBER IS FOR FUEL INJECTED APPLICATIONS There are two things you need to know:
1) A properly tuned electronic overdrive transmission can completely transform your hot rod's personality for the better. If your prior experience only includes pre-electronic transmissions such as the TH350 or 700R4, you'll be amazed at how well this system works.
2) Unlike electronic fuel injection, adapting an electronic transmission is surprisingly simple. Computer installation can be completed in only a few hours--even if you have no prior experience.
Calibration and tuning is likewise extremely simple since Twist Machine, LLC ships every controller with an accurate base calibration that matches your vehicle's exact specifications.
We take care of the hard part. You may only need to perform some fine tuning after driving the vehicle.
Of course, Twist Machine and HGM are readily available to provide extensive technical support. Ultimately, you will have an electronic overdrive transmission that matches your exact personal driving needs. Shifts will happen when YOU want and how firm YOU want. 1-2 shift happening too late or too hard? Just push a few buttons or turn the adjustment screws.
HGM Automotive Electronics Inc. has led the way in transmission controllers since the mid nineties. HGM has probably sold more COMPUSHIFT controllers than all other competing manufacturers combined.
Of course, the COMPUSHIFT transmission controller also allows you to take advantage of the Shrifter®'s paddle shift control.
COMPUSHIFT operates automatic shifting and torque converter clutch lock up for a wide variety of transmissions. The system is delivered with all of the necessary cable harnesses for installation in a fuel injected application. Both gasoline and diesel engines are supported.
For additional programming capability, you may wish to consider purchasing the optional LCD tuner that also offers a gear display, built in dyno simulator and g-meter.
